PeopleSearchNow publishes names, ages, past and current addresses, phone numbers, and relative listings pulled from public records, and its free previews double as a funnel into paid background-check sites like TruthFinder and BeenVerified. The removal itself is free — no account, no fee, no ID upload — but the flow runs backwards from most brokers: you hand over your name and email address before you ever see your record, and the actual removal form only arrives as a link in your inbox. Two things trip people up along the way: that emailed link expires after 24 hours, and the details you type into the removal form have to match the record you want gone.
Open the opt-out page
Go to peoplesearchnow.com/opt-out. You can also reach it from the homepage by scrolling to the footer and clicking "Do Not Sell My Personal Information," which links to the same form. The site runs an aggressive Cloudflare gate, so you may hit a brief "verify you are human" screen first — complete it in your normal browser and the page loads fine.
Fill out the opt-out form
The page is headed "People Search Now Opt-Out Form," and it spells out its own four-step process right above the fields — email first, then an emailed link, then your record. Leave the "I am" dropdown on "The subject of the request" (unless you're filing on someone else's behalf), enter your first and last name — middle name is optional — plus your email address, select the authorization option confirming you're allowed to make the request, and complete the CAPTCHA before submitting. Use an inbox you can actually open — a masked or forwarding address is fine and keeps your real email off a broker's list, but the link in the next step has to land somewhere you can click it.
Click the link emailed to you
PeopleSearchNow emails you a link to the actual record-removal form. It can take a little while to arrive — check the spam folder — and by the site's own warning it expires after 24 hours; miss the window and you'll need to go back to Step 2 and request a new one.
Complete the removal form
The emailed link opens the removal form. Enter your information so it matches the record you want opted out — the site's own note warns that omitted or inaccurate details will only hinder the request, since what you type is how it finds the listing to suppress. If you're listed under other versions of your name (a maiden name, a middle initial), each variant needs its own pass through these steps.
Confirmation page and email
After you submit the form, you should land on a page confirming the request has been received and is being processed, and a confirmation email follows. That email is a receipt, not another hoop — the click that mattered was the emailed link in Step 3.
Wait 3 days and verify
PeopleSearchNow asks you to allow 3 days for a request to be fully processed. After that, search your name on the site again to confirm the listing is gone. If it's still up well past the window, resubmit rather than assuming the request is working its way through — and remember that removal here does nothing about the paid sites PeopleSearchNow links out to, which keep their own records. TruthFinder and BeenVerified each have separate opt-out processes worth doing while you're at it.
Why it's worth checking back
PeopleSearchNow rebuilds its database from the same public-record feeds as every other people-search site, so a completed removal only means your listing is gone as of today.
