Zabasearch is one of the older free people-search sites, and it's a bit of a special case in this list: it doesn't maintain its own independent database or its own opt-out form. Zabasearch's records are sourced through Intelius, and Intelius runs its suppression process through a shared portal called PeopleConnect — the same one used by Intelius itself, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and USSearch. So opting out of Zabasearch actually means submitting a suppression request to PeopleConnect and having it apply back to the Zabasearch listing. It's not difficult, but it does mean more identity-matching detail than a simple name-and-email form, and it's worth knowing you're not on Zabasearch's own site once you start the process.
Step 1: Find your listing on Zabasearch
Search your name on zabasearch.com to confirm what's currently showing — the age range, past addresses, and phone numbers listed. If the direct opt-out link on the site isn't loading, scroll to the footer for a privacy-rights or "opt out" link, which routes to the same place.
Step 2: Go to the PeopleConnect suppression center
Navigate to suppression.peopleconnect.us. This is Intelius' shared suppression system, and it's the actual destination behind Zabasearch's opt-out link — you won't stay on zabasearch.com for this part.
Step 3: Verify your email
Enter your email address and submit. PeopleConnect sends a verification link to that inbox — open it and click through to continue the request.
Step 4: Enter your identifying details
On the form that opens, enter your full legal name and date of birth. This is how the system matches you to the correct record rather than pulling in someone with a similar name.
Step 5: Confirm the matching record
Search for your listing within the suppression tool and select the record that matches you. If a verification code is sent by SMS or email at this stage, enter it to confirm you're the person the record belongs to.
Step 6: Submit the suppression request
Click through to submit — this is often labeled something like "delete my user data" or "suppress this record." You may get one more confirmation email to click before the request is fully logged.
Step 7: Wait for removal
Zabasearch's own stated window is that listings should clear within seven days of Intelius receiving the request. If the listing is still up after that, resubmit rather than assuming the first request failed silently — occasional processing delays are common on shared portals like this one.
Why the shared network matters
Because Zabasearch, Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, and USSearch all draw from the same underlying data and suppression system, a request submitted through PeopleConnect is more efficient than treating each site separately — but it also means removing yourself from Zabasearch alone, without going through the shared portal correctly, won't necessarily touch the others. If you find listings on any of those related sites, it's worth confirming each one separately rather than assuming one suppression request cleared everything.
Why it's worth checking back
Suppression requests through PeopleConnect stop the current listing from displaying, but they don't stop new public records — a new address, a new phone number — from generating a fresh listing down the line. Zabasearch and its sibling sites re-import data on an ongoing basis, so a listing that's gone today can resurface months later without any new action on your part.
