Step 1: Find your listing
Search your name at truepeoplesearch.com, narrowing by city and state if you get multiple results. Open the listing that's actually you and note the details shown — you'll match against these on the removal form.
Step 2: Go to the removal page
Go to truepeoplesearch.com/removal. Enter your email address, confirm you're the subject of the request, and complete the CAPTCHA.
Step 3: Verify your email
TruePeopleSearch sends a confirmation link right after you submit. Click it within 24 hours — if the link expires before you get to it, the whole process resets and you'll need to start over from Step 2.
Step 4: Match and remove your record
Following the email link takes you back to search for your specific listing. Search by name, city, and state, open the correct record, scroll to the bottom, and select "Remove This Record."
Step 5: Wait for removal
TruePeopleSearch doesn't publish an official timeline, but removals typically clear within 24–72 hours. Search your name again after a couple of days, ideally in a private/incognito window, to confirm it's gone.
If you have more than one listing
Multiple listings are common — from past addresses, name variations, or duplicate public-records entries. Each one needs its own removal request; you can typically submit several from the same email address (up to around five) before needing a different one.
